I went out for a walk in the park and saw kids using a volleyball net slung between two poles as an improvised Hammock, brought a huge smile to my face.
Young, reckless and light-weight are just some of the things that change as you mellow.

Skool and Beyond !

Its funny what 5 years of work ex can do for you, to your active vocabulary for one. I used to have a much richer vocabulary in skool where i was forced to write, submit homework and lessons sometimes meant trying to find a new word which would catch the teacher by surprise. Its funny how I always had an english teacher who was willing to push me and never really dish out generous praise. It kept me in check and so did some of the competition in the class.

So out of skool and no longer used to putting pen to paper, you wonder if growing older really helps. You make a feeble attempt at writing and ur mind responds with banalities which would embarrass a 5th grader. Humor has seen a similar decline, office and work life keeps chipping at you little by little each year. They may not have uniforms at work but they sure have "process". Process is what makes fat and thin both look the same. A little process here and a little there and you have rid the workplace of sensitivity and curiosity.

Five years and i can still sometimes wake up on the right side of bed and ask myself a good question in the morning. Its the good answer which is more elusive :)
